March has been a whirlwind of activity here at LandTech, and we're eager to share the latest enhancements to our products with you. Let's explore the new features and updates that have made their way into LandInsight over the course of this month.

The Biodiversity layer in LandInsight is now live!

We're excited to share that LandInsight's Biodiversity layer is now up and running!

Starting February 2024, there's a law for property developers to adhere to – the Biodiversity Net Gain law. It applies to all new development projects, except for the smaller sites which will come under its purview in April.

To make navigating this new regulation easier for our LandTech users, we've introduced a brand-new Biodiversity layer in LandInsight. But that's not all – we've also crafted a blog post to guide you through the ins and outs of the Biodiversity Net Gain law and how to make the most of this new layer.

The Site Sourcing Tool has been given yet another upgrade!

Our Site Sourcing tool in LandInsight, designed to streamline the hunt for the most promising development sites, has just received a significant upgrade.

To make the process even smoother for property developers, we've enriched the tool with additional datasets and features. Here’s what’s new:

  • Saved Searches: Forget about re-entering your search parameters each time. Your preferences are saved for next time.
  • Tenure Filter: Broaden your search with options for both leasehold and freehold properties.
  • Lease Start/End Date Filters: Fine-tune your search by specifying lease durations.
  • LandAssembly: Discover the potential by merging adjacent sites into a single, larger opportunity.
  • Property State Filter: Tailor your search based on the current status of properties, whether they're in use, vacant, or even demolished.

Haven't explored the Site Sourcing tool yet? Now's the perfect time to take it for a spin. Simply click on the magnifying glass icon on the left side of your LandInsight screen, and embark on a more efficient site sourcing journey.
